Kids Camp is a fun-filled weekend for tamariki in primary and intermediate school. Held across the motu, two camps in the North Island and one in the South, it is packed with games, worship, and time to grow together.

It is a great way for kids to make friends, explore faith, and have an unforgettable adventure.

The three camps

All three run the same weekend and finish at 12.30pm on the Monday, with lunch provided.

  • Upper North Island — CYC Ngaruawahia. Arrive from 2.30pm on the Saturday, first session 3.30pm with afternoon tea. Camp leader: Steph Limmer.
  • Lower North Island — El Rancho. Arrive from 1.30pm, first session 3pm including afternoon tea. Camp leader: Missy Ditchburn.
  • South Island — Living Springs, Christchurch. Arrive from 4pm. Camp leader: Michal Baken.

Bringing a group

  1. Start talking about it with your group early. It is never too early to build the excitement.
  2. Contact the camp leader nearest you for the registration link, and register before the cut-off.
  3. Go through the code of conduct with any junior leaders coming with you.

Leaders can adjust the age range a little within years 3 to 8 to suit their local community. Junior leaders in years 9 to 11 are welcome.

Funding help is available case by case. Email nextgen@salvationarmy.org.nz if you need a hand with anything.
