Aspire Session Plans
Aspire Programme Overview
Aspire is a year-long development journey led by experienced Salvation Army youth workers in schools and centres across Aotearoa. The programme includes:
Weekly Group Sessions: Small groups of around 10 participants meet weekly over 32 weeks to explore personal growth, leadership, and teamwork.
Adventure Experience: A 3-day outdoor adventure at The Salvation Army’s Blue Mountain Adventure Centre, featuring activities like tramping, abseiling, canoeing, caving, white water rafting, and more—facilitated by qualified instructors.
Community Project: Participants collaborate to design and deliver a project that addresses a local issue, building practical skills in planning and teamwork. The programme concludes with goal setting and a graduation celebration.
